Sunset at the Worms Head Peninsula in Wales.

Avocet.jpg

Avocet

This photo is of an Avocet and I took it at a nature reserve in Norfolk called Pensthorpe, which has a lot of different bird species there. The Avocets are lovely to see now they are becoming more established in the UK – we’ve even started to see them in Sussex.

Train on Glenfinnan Viaduct

This is a famous viaduct in Scotland, called Glenfinnan viaduct, where they filmed part of the Harry Potter films. I took this photo leaning out of the train window!

Tulips

I took these lovely tulips at Arundel castle during their tulip festival, the number of varieties on display was incredible

Tresco Gardens

Back to the Isle of Scilly! This is a view in Tresco Abbey Gardens, another idyll of a place with lots of different plants you certainly wouldn’t get on the mainland due to the frosts.

Boats

This one is on the Isles of Scilly, there are lots of beautiful sandy beaches, and it is certainly like no where else I’ve ever been! A bit of paradise in the UK

Dahlia.jpg

Dahlia

Dahlias are my absolute favourite flower! I love the repeating patterns on the ‘pom pom’ varieties, I took this one at Borde Hill gardens.

Monte Palace Gardens

I love the Japanese gardens in Madeira, I took this one at the Monte Palace Gardens, they are certainly beautiful. The fish in the foreground really stand out in the water.

Sterling.jpg

Sterling Castle

This is a picture of the view from the battlements of Stirling Castle, with the mountains in the background and the cannons in the foreground it’s quite a view!

Ponies

Lots of you will be aware that the New Forest is somewhere Mum and I love to visit, I couldn’t resist photographing these two ponies who appear to be very good friends in the autumnal surroundings.

Autumn colours

Back to the New forest for this one! We have been a few times in the autumn to see the pigs out for pannage. I took this one on a particularly long walk which I’m not sure Mum has forgiven me for!

Stained Glass Window

As soon as I spotted this stained glass window I had to photograph it! I took this in Winchester Cathedral, and out of all the stained glass windows I have seen (which most of you will know is many!) I think it’s my favourite…
